Property Auction Review 2025

2024 was another fantastic year for the auction department at Brown&Co. We look back with pride following an increased number of lots sold across all areas of the market.

We achieved outstanding results throughout 2024, with many lots selling for values ahead of the guide prices. This is great news for our clients, and is testament to our remarkable auctions teams – well done all.

We successfully increased our turnover in 2024, and the service we offer is going from strength to strength as we continue to deliver valuable work alongside our other Brown&Co offices.

In Norfolk, we are delighted to have sold over £20,000,000 of property in 2024, which confirms the demand from a range buyers. We are proud of the advice we offer to clients, offering valuations without obligation throughout the year.

In Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, we were thrilled with our auction performance in 2024, with nearly all lots sold under the hammer and the few that didn’t were quickly sold afterwards. So, we look forward to offering a range of interesting lots in 2025. Our teams continued to work hard for our valued buyers and sellers and we sold property throughout the price ranges, with a value some £8,500,000.

Our East Anglian auction department based in Norwich, and our East Midlands department based in Lincoln and Retford, look forward to another fantastic year in 2025, with three auctions already planned for January, February and March and six County Property Auctions. Our first auction is on 29^th January and has generated much interest, more than envisaged; let’s hope this bodes well for the auction market this year.

A big thank you to EIG who process our auctions – the online approach we adopted following Covid19 continues to prove very effective.
