Peter has worked in the business for 33 years, joining Francis Hornor & Son in 1989, which then merged with Brown&Co. He leads the Norwich Residential team, covering sales, auctions, new homes and professional work, including residential lettings.

Prior to Brown&Co, he worked as a resident land agent on the Cockley Cley Estate in Norfolk and then in London as an estate agent, surveyor and auctioneer. He is an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a valuer under the RICS VRS Scheme. Peter is the 6th generation of his family to join Francis Hornor & Son, Chartered Surveyors, Land Agents and Auctioneers 1794 – 1996, which merged with Brown&Co in that year and having been a partner of the family firm I joined the Brown&Co partnership in 1996.

Most recently, the Residential Division has been able to develop an online presence following Covid-19, which has enabled us to establish an excellent record for this new form of selling property and the business has expanded greatly.
