Quarterly Property Auction Update | Q1 2025
Tue 15 Apr 2025
Quarter 1 of 2025 has been highly successful for our Brown&Co property auction teams, with strong performances across Norwich, Retford, and Lincoln.
The East Anglian auction department based in Norwich has had a strong start to 2025, with over 40 lots sold in the first quarter boasting outstanding results throughout the price ranges. Strategic land on the outskirts of Norwich, investment garages, cottages, and semi-detached houses across East Anglia all attracted strong interest, with many lots exceeding their reserves.
Retford’s standout result was the sale of a former Methodist church and hall in Woodsetts, South Yorkshire. Guided at £75,000–£90,000, competitive bidding drove the final price to £161,000, delighting our clients.

Lincoln’s County Property Auction team had a fantastic first quarter. A key highlight was a three-bedroom cottage on 0.60 acres requiring full refurbishment, which sold for £230,000 against a £125,000 guide price. The strong results reflect renewed market confidence, and the team are now compiling an exciting catalogue for our next auction on 30th April.
