Merton Farm, Cambridgeshire
Our team in the St Neots office was pleased to have delivered planning on a set of redundant farm buildings in Gamlingay.
Acting on behalf of the landowner, we managed the design and planning process successfully through to a full planning application – which was submitted to South Cambridgeshire District Council and dealt with under delegated powers.
The development makes use of a redundant farmyard, with the existing buildings being of a traditional character with brick and timber cladding and tiled roofs.
Our concept provided for the re-use of the existing buildings with small extensions in keeping to the scale, materials and proportions of the existing property.
With this design approach we were able to present a unified layout and aesthetic suiting the traditional aspect of the surrounding buildings and area.
The site is currently for sale and interested parties are invited to speak to one of our Development Surveyors to discuss this opportunity further.
We would be happy to assist any interested parties with the conversion of these buildings.
