Broadland Food Innovation Centre
The Broadland Food Innovation Centre forms part of the Food Enterprise Park. This land was sold to Broadland District Council, who recognised that although Norfolk is one of the biggest food producing counties, the processing and production of this food is largely done elsewhere.
They have constructed 13 food grade units, built to an excellent specification, which range from 1,500 sq ft to 5,000 sq ft in size. Business and tech support is available within the hub, and occupiers have access to facilities such as a tech kitchen and presentation space.
Only 1 unit remains available, and the rest of the units are let to food and drink producers such as:
- Norfolk Spirits, award winning rum producers
- Club Cultured, a producer of premium fermented food & pickles supplying Wagamama and Tortilla
- Weddell & Turner, a free from artisanal bakery business supplying airlines and Lapland UK with gingerbread
- Farmyard Frozen, who make premium frozen meals, stocked in many local farm shops.
