Cottage in an acre sells for over £50,000 guide price at online auction
Wed 29 Mar 2023
Our Norwich online auction team sold six out of six lots today in another of its regular sales - with some properties going under the virtual hammer for up to £60,000 over the guide prices.
Rookery Farmhouse, High Street, Lakenheath, Suffolk, a pair of semi-detached cottages with a barn and just over an acre, guided at between £300,000-£350,000, sold for £402,000 after receiving 92 bids.
A three-storey mid terrace in Bramford Lane, Ipswich, Suffolk sold for £168,000 over a guide of £90,000-£110,000 after 62 bids and a three bedroom semi-detached of non standard construction in Park Avenue, Scottow, Norfolk, guided at £130,000-£150,000, sold for £192,000 after 53 bids.
A pair of cottages in Ingham sold for £239,000.
The online auction saw bidding begin yesterday and end today around midday.
It follows last week's similarly successful online auction held by our Norwich office which saw two small parcels of grazing land sell for three times their guide prices and a terraced house in Norwich sell for £192,000 over its guide price of £120,000-£125,000.
Whereas we held in-room auctions four or five times a year, we are holding them online almost every month of the year with both our Norwich team and also the County Property Auction team in Lincoln.
The next auction from our Lincoln team is on 19th April and in Norfolk, 25th April.
