Steve has over 35 years experience in the public and private sectors and has developed an extensive understanding of planning policy, experience of the submission of wide variety of planning applications, Environmental Impact Assessments, appeals and enforcement challenges.

Working in county councils for nearly 20 years, writing planning policies for Structure and Local Plans and implementing elements of development control for all aspects of planning from waste sites, pipelines, housing developments, landscape and heritage schemes. As Conservation Services Manager at Lincolnshire County Council, his role covered a wide area of countryside and environmental matters including The Wolds AONB, The Wash SPA/SAC, ecology sites and archaeology.

Following his local authority experience Steve has been a Partner with JHWalter for the last 16 years and is now Divisional Partner at Brown&Co running its Lincoln planning team.
