Having begun his agricultural consultancy career in June 2021, Sebastian joins Brown&Co as a FACTS & BASIS qualified adviser. This enables Sebastian to complete compliance works for the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), including both nutrient management and integrated pest management plans.

Sebastian has a real passion for both the conservation and enhancement of on-farm biodiversity. Having graduated from the University of Reading with a 2:1 in BSc Agriculture and worked for a range of farming businesses across the United Kingdom and in New Zealand, he also understands the balance between crop production and wildlife that can be struck in order to produce the most workable and adaptable schemes, tailored to specific client requirements.

Day-to-day Sebastian specialised in the creation and submission of SFI applications, the ongoing management of existing Countryside Stewardship and SFI agreements, mock inspections and capital and revenue claims. He has also completed successful applications for the English Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO).

Ongoing development within his role will come from the completion of the BASIS Certificate in Sustainable Land Management and Soil & Water qualifications.
