Rob joined Brown&Co in 2009 and focuses on core agricultural business advice, Rob works with a wide range of rural businesses providing specialist business advice, this covers strategic and succession planning, budgeting, cashflow monitoring, Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) and grant funding.

From an established East Yorkshire arable family farm, Rob has a BSc Hons Geography degree from Durham University as well as MSc in Rural Estate Management from the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester. He has also completed the Challenge of Rural Leadership course run by the Worshipful Company of Farmers.

Amongst Rob’s specialisms include more than 15 years’ experience in bioenergy supply chains both in the UK and Europe having worked with Drax Power Limited, UK and INA, Croatia. Principally, focusing on agricultural by-products and dedicated energy crops such as miscanthus.

Another specialism is producing very detailed labour and machinery costing reviews for farming businesses.
