Peter Thompson - Agricultural Business Consultant, Associate, BSC. (Hons)

Peter joined Brown&Co in 2020, working out of the Norwich office for three and a half years before moving to the Brown&Co Banbury office in 2024. From a farming family in Shropshire, Peter went on to study at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) gaining a BSc (Hons) in Applied Farm Management. During his time at the RAU, Peter's studies focused on business management and improving farm profitability through the increase in performance and integration of new technology.

Peter's work involves all aspects of farm business consultancy, most notably, financial budgeting, analysis and cashflow forecasting. In addition to this, Peter is involved in overseeing a number of Contract Farming and Joint Venture agreements, working with a range of landowners and farmers. Peter is also involved in designing, completing applications and managing a range of environmental schemes as well as delivering Greenhouse Gas audits and advising on emission reduction.

Prior to Brown&Co, Peter has worked for a number of farming businesses across both the UK and Australia gaining an in depth understanding of farming operations in different sectors and at different scales.
