Peter joined Brown & Co in 2012 having graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first-class honours degree in Agriculture. Throughout the last 10-plus years, Peter has worked within the Agri-Business Consultancy team in the Bury St Edmunds office, and now leads the department seeking to grow and develop the service offering to clients. Coming from an agricultural background, being brought up on a family farm in Dorset, Peter is able to combine a technical understanding of business management with practical skills and knowledge to better assist clients with their specific needs.

Peter demonstrates a thorough understanding of arable and mixed farming businesses and specialises in the provision of management advice. This includes the preparation of detailed financial forecasts, business reviews and cash flow forecasting, whilst advising clients how to optimise their cost of production. Peter actively manages over 20 contract farming agreements across East Anglia, facilitating meetings and providing advice on the financial terms to both parties, and advises regarding all Agri-Environment schemes and future funding income streams. The Bury St Edmunds office continues to offer all core Agri-Business Consultancy services for which Peter is passionate to expand further to service the agricultural businesses operating in the region.
