Matt joined Brown&Co in 2022 and advises on the delivery and utilisation of government schemes, such as the Combined Environmental Land Management Offer (CELMS), including SFI, Countryside Stewardship Plus as well as Technology and Grant Funding Applications. Other aspects of Matt’s work include carbon auditing, farm budgeting, cashflow forecasts, cost of production analysis and labour & machinery joint ventures.

Matt has a wealth of technical and practical experience gained through working on farms in the UK and abroad. He has a strong agronomic background having previously managed both cereals and potato trials as well as gaining his BASIS – Soil and Water Management qualification.

Matt studied Agriculture and Farm Business Management at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester and currently manages his family farm in Lincolnshire.
