John became a Divisional Partner of Brown&Co JHWalter in October 2021 having been Managing Partner of the long established business of JHWalter which he joined in 2008.

His professional focus is on Commercial/Residential valuation and development agency. He also acts as an Expert Witness advising on valuation and property disputes.

John has worked in these areas of business from a Lincoln base since returning to Lincolnshire in 1999 having worked in Leeds for many years acting as client manager for major retailers/occupiers such as TSB Bank, Pizza Hut, Kwik Fit and a number of government agencies. John studied Land Management at the University of Reading, qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1986 and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 1991. He has been an RICS Registered Valuer since the instigation of that qualification in 2011. Development projects include that of up to 200 acres of residential land across the East of England.
