Henry joined Brown&Co as part of the merger with JHWalter in 2021, the latter of which he joined in 2014 following his Geography BSc course at Sheffield Hallam. He has subsequently completed an MSc in Rural Estate and Land Management at Harper Adams and gained his BASIS Greenhouse Gases, Carbon & Climate Change Mitigation qualification.
Henry currently works with a range of renewable technologies including wind, solar PV, biomass and heat pumps, with particular focus on anaerobic digestion and biomethane injection. He primarily specialises in the development and ongoing management of small to medium scale self-build projects. Henry undertakes a significant amount of work relating to renewable subsidy schemes and has established himself as an expert in matters relating to the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), Green Gas Support (GGSS) and Feed in Tariff (FIT) schemes, among others.
Through this work he has also established specialist expertise in carbon life-cycling work for farming businesses as well as product life-cycling for woody biomass and energy crops. This includes advising for applications to the International Sustainability & Carbon Credit (ISCC) scheme and targeting net zero for businesses through advising on reducing emissions, developing renewable technology and carbon sequestration on farmland.
