Ellis graduated from Harper Adams University in 2019 with a 2:1 in BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Crop Management. Prior to joining Brown&Co, Ellis was an agronomist in Kent and Sussex, specialising in regenerative agriculture. Ellis’ responsibilities as an agronomist were to develop and advise on holistic farming methods for clients to improve soil health and resilience while maintaining a profitable income.

Ellis joined Brown&Co in 2023 as an Associate, having relocated from his home county of West Sussex to the King’s Lynn area.

Ellis specialises in providing advice on integrating both Countryside Stewardship and SFI options into businesses cropping rotations, maximising value wherever possible. Ellis has also completed grant applications and farm business tenders (FBT). Ellis is a fully qualified agronomist, being a member of the professional register of BASIS and FACTS qualified advisors and can therefore complete IPM1 and NUM1 plans for clients.
